Well sooner or latter it had to happen a company, www.breezebrowser.com is selling DSLR remote pro which will let you hook up a canon DSLR camera to a laptop and turn it into a photobooth. Unfortunately the program does not show the photos right after they are taken. The camera should be put on manual focus; if it isn't then you can get focusing errors.
While it's main competitor, www.photoboof.com has more features @ $600 it is very expensive.
